World Environment Day

KOBWA recognises and commemorates special international days that relate to her core business.  Special days such as the World Environment Day present an opportunity for KOBWA to inform the public of her core business.  KOBWA’s messages are guided by the slogans that are issued by the United Nations.  The Department of Water Affairs and local communities are usually engaged to celebrate World Environment Day and emphasis is made on the current theme.

In a bid to promote the 2013 theme  which was Think.Eat.Save, KOBWA supported ten primary schools in that are within the Buffespruit, Jeppes Reef, Schoemansdal, Schuzendal and Driekoppies communities with fruit trees.  Each school received ten fruit trees which were a combination of; litchi, mango, ovacado and orange trees.
